The Lindfield School is a Secondary School located in Hampden Park, Eastbourne. All our pupils have a statement of educational needs. Our pupils may have speech and language needs, autism or learning difficulties. We are federated with the South Downs Community Special School, which also serves as our main feeder school.
At TLS we deliver the national curriculum, and the pupils are entered for a variety of GCSE's, Entry Levels, BTECs and foundation learning courses at the end of year 11 depending on their ability.
The ethos of our school reflects the importance that we place on academic, social and emotional development. Our emphasis is on developing individual potential whilst fostering caring and positive attitudes. There is strong commitment from all staff and a desire to support others forms the basis of why this school is so successful. Staff continually focus on improving the provision for all pupils.
We have a team of staff that provide additional therapy sessions: speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, motor programmes and counselling.
Every day is open day at TLS and we welcome visits to our school as our pupils are always keen to show their work and explain what they are learning.

Awarded by the Council for Learning Outside the Classroom, the LOtC Mark (Bronze) accredits those schools that have a strong awareness of the benefits of providing frequent, continuous and progressive LOtC experiences to all pupils and have begun to integrate LOtC into the life of the school. The photograph is of our year 9 & 10 GCSE Art students out in Hampden Park working on a photography project with Anna Savage our learning leader for art and Alice Seabrook our artist in residence.
