Welcome

The Lindfield School is a Secondary School located in Hampden Park, Eastbourne. All our pupils have a statement of educational needs or an Education and Health Care plan. Our pupils may have speech and language needs, autism or learning difficulties.

We are federated with the South Downs Community Special School, which also serves as our main feeder school.

At TLS we deliver the national curriculum, and the pupils are entered for a variety of GCSE's, Entry Levels and BTECs at the end of year 11, depending on their ability.

The ethos of our school reflects the importance that we place on academic, social and emotional development. Our emphasis is on developing individual potential whilst fostering caring and positive attitudes. There is strong commitment from all staff and a desire to support others forms the basis of why this school is so successful. Staff continually focus on improving the provision for all pupils.

We have a team of staff that provide additional therapy sessions: speech and language therapy, occupational therapy and motor coordination programmes.

Mrs McIlhargey

Every day is open day at TLS and we welcome visits to our school as our pupils are always keen to show their work and explain what they are learning. Please contact Elaine or Kim in the school office if you would like to make an appointment to come and see us.

In a joint statement, executive headteacher Remo Palladino and head of school Kirsty McIlhargey said, “This transformative change is down to the exceptional dedication of the staff team, the growing strength of our federation with the South Downs School and the way that all the community have shared in our vision for improvement.”
